Storm and Flood Assistance
The ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA) advises that the heavy rain forecast overnight may impact on some residents and businesses across the ACT. The ESA is fully activated and ready to respond to the impact of the rain as required through the ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) with support from ACT Fire & Rescue and the ACT Rural Fire Service.
The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has received a total of 82 calls for help since 3pm yesterday as a result of the wet weather.
ACTSES volunteers and ACT Fire and Rescue continue to respond with the majority of calls for leaking roofs and minor flooding across the ACT.
Residents who require assistance can call the SES on 132 500.
