Quarterly Reports

Commencing April 2026, the ACT Ambulance Service publishes quarterly reports with key metrics on staffing, workload, and performance.

Definitions

  • Response times - Response times are calculated in minutes for the 50th and 90th percentile.
    • 50th percentile (median) – The time within which the first 50% of incidents receive a response from the first arriving ambulance resource.
    • 90th percentile – The time within which the first 90% of incidents receive a response from the first arriving ambulance resource.
  • Single response unit – An ambulance response in a vehicle with a single ambulance paramedic.
  • Virtual response – A virtual response is an Emergency Triple Zero call that is managed over the phone without a physical attendance by ambulance paramedics.
