As part of this, our volunteers and staff develop and deliver education sessions to members of the ACT Community in relation to storm, flood and other hazards. These sessions are tailored for a range of special interest and other groups including school and college students, scouts and guides, our elderly, at risk and vulnerable and community organisations. Countless schools and community groups have had ACTSES volunteers visit them to present on the importance of preparedness and acting safely during and after disasters and emergencies.
ACTSES volunteers can also be found directly engaging the ACT Community at public events including fetes, festivals, shows, employment expos, exhibitions, street parades and special events.
If you would like ACTSES to provide community education for your group or event, please complete the form available on the Request for attendance at event page.
