Motorists are reminded that the following roads and crossings are closed as a result of rain:
Canberra Avenue in both directions at the Jerrabomberra Creek Bridge, Fyshwick Corin Road at the intersection with Paddys River Road, Morisset Road in Mitchell (access to Bimberi Youth Justice Centre via Wells Station Road), Paddys River Road between the Cotter River and Tidbinbilla is closed due to flooding at Murrays Corner and Tanners Flat, Naas Road closed one kilometre south of Tharwa as Spring Station Creek has flooded, Bendora Dam Road, Brindabella Road at the start of the dirt section to the NSW border, Mount Franklin Road, Boboyan Road, Orroral Valley Road, Apollo Road, Uriarra Crossing, Swamp Creek Crossing, Coppins Crossing, Point Hut Crossing, Oaks Estate Crossing, Sunshine Crossing, Angle Crossing, Molonglo Gorge Road and all mountain roads in Namadgi National Park.
Motorists are advised to use caution when driving on the Kings Highway as the wet weather has deteriorated existing road works. The public is also advised that several park and recreation areas are closed, including: Namadgi National Park, Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, Googong Foreshores, Pine Island recreation area, Point Hut Crossing recreation area, Kambah Pool recreation area, Uriarra Crossing East and West recreation areas, walking tracks and recreation areas below the Cotter Dam, the National Arboretum, Molonglo Gorge, Woods Reserve and all forest areas.
