The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a Severe Weather Warning for flash flooding in the ACT and parts of NSW. The ACTSES remind the community to stay well clear of fast flowing water. Do not enter drains or other expanses of water under any circumstances.
The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has received a total of 591 calls for help since 3pm Tuesday. ACTSES volunteer crews continue to respond with 19 outstanding jobs.
Residents who need flood assistance can call the ACTSES on 132-500.
Motorists are strongly advised to respect the rural road closures which have been put in place for their protection.
Motorists are also advised that repair work will be taking place on Kings Highway across the weekend meaning at times it will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Motorists should drive carefully.
