Controlled burn tomorrow at Jerrabomberra Wetlands Nature Reserve.

The ACT Territory and Municipal Services Directorate will conduct a controlled burn tomorrow, Thursday 31 October, 2013, weather permitting, at Jerrabomberra Wetlands Nature Reserve.

The burn is area is approximately 0.1 hectares in size and consists of 10 individual burn plots in exotic grasslands.

The ACT Handy Map grid reference for the burn is L12.

Temporary smoke cover may occur. Every effort is made to conduct the burn in weather conditions that will minimise the impact of smoke in the area.

The Health Directorate advises that people with asthma, other chronic respiratory and/or chronic cardiac diseases should not perform vigorous exercise and should stay inside if affected by the smoke. People with asthma in particular should continue their medication and consult their general practitioner if they have any difficulties.
