Update - House fire at McKellar

Crews have extinguished the fire which was containted to the kitchen resulting in minor damage.

The cause of the fire was due to an exhuast fan malfunction.

Thermal imaging equipment is now being used to assess the scene for no further fire.

ACT Ambulance Service intensive care paramedics have assessed one patient for minor injuries.

Three fire pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus Van, Hazardous Materials Unit and a Command Officer are on scene.

Crews were alerted from an Emergency Triple Zero (000) call at 1:43pm.
