Storm and Flood Assistance
The ACT Rural Fire Service and ACT Fire & Rescue is working to extinguish a grass fire burning at Pierces Creek.
The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at ADVICE.
The ACT Rural Fire Service and ACT Fire & Rescue has 12 units on scene. Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS) tankers are also on scene with a bulldozer requested to assist.
The fire is located near Settlement Road and is burning in a south-westerly direction.
The fire is approximately 750 metres x 400 metres in size and is out of control.
Crews are working to establish a containment line around the fire with flame heights from three metres up to 10 metres in some areas.
No property is currently under threat.
