Smell of fuel in Mitchell stormwater pipe

ACT Fire & Rescue are assisting to investigate a smell of fuel in a stormwater pipe along Flemington Road in Mitchell.

Officers from the Environment Protection Agency are also on scene.

Firefighters are installing absorbent filter booms to capture any fuel on the water surface.

There is no need for evacuations.

Crews will shortly leave the scene.
