Hazard reduction burn at Aranda

The Territory and Municipal Services Directorate (TAMS) ACT Parks will today undertake a hazard reduction burn in Aranda.

The 7.9 hectare burn will take place in the Aranda Bushland Nature Reserve, east of Bindubi Street and west of Caswell Drive.

The burn is being conducted to help protect surrounding suburbs and residences by reducing fuel loads and limiting potential fire spread.

Crews will also continue to monitor the burn site in Aranda tomorrow.
