Update two - Fire at Pialligo

Fire crews are working to contain then extinguish the fire using water and foam while heavy machinery reduce the size of the pile.

Additional heavy earthmoving equipment from the ACT Rural Fire Service Parkes Brigade is also being sent to the site.

ACT Fire & Rescue expects it to burn for at least several hours.

A total of 19 units from ACT Fire & Rescue and the ACT Rural Fire Service are currently on scene including a Command pod.
