Storm and Flood Assistance
Several ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) teams and ACT Fire & Rescue will work overnight to clear roads and make homes safe with significant damage reported across the capital.
A total of 749 requests for assistance have been received following this afternoon's storm and more than 200 jobs completed. Most calls have been for large trees down on roads and houses.
More ACTSES units along with ACT Rural Fire Service and Transport Canberra and City Services crews will respond to jobs from 7am tomorrow. The Incident Management Team will remain activated at ESA HQ.
