The ACT team will be part of a NSW multi agency taskforce departing Sydney early in the morning.
The ACT members will be made up with a specialist commander and station officer from ACT Fire & Rescue and two volunteer members from the ACT State Emergency Service.
The taskforce is expected to be deployed for four days and will work on initial impact assessments in areas struck by the cyclone.
