Storm and Flood Assistance
Subject to favourable weather conditions, the ACT Rural Fire Service (ACTRFS) will be undertaking an ecological burn at Gungaderra Creek, Barton Highway. The four-hectare burn is scheduled for 6:30 pm on Thursday 22nd March 2018.
This burn was scheduled to occur yesterday, however, it was cancelled due to unfavourable weather conditions.
ACTRFS will remain onsite for the duration of the ecological burn, departing once the burn area has been deemed blacked out.
The burn will reduce fire fuel loads to protect our community and improve ecosystem health.
