In a life threatening emergency dial Triple Zero (000)
Storm and Flood Assistance
ACT Fire & Rescue has extinguished a kitchen fire in an apartment on the top level of a four-story building.
Firefighters rescued two unconscious males from the living area of the small apartment and immediately administered CPR.
ACT Ambulance Service paramedics treated both patients for smoke inhalation at the scene and transported them to the Canberra Hospital.
Both patients were in a serious condition on arrival to the hospital.
Firefighters have determined the cause of the fire as cooking left unattended, and remind the community: "Don't stop looking while you're cooking".
The Emergency Triple Zero (000) call was received at 3:27pm.
