More than seventy emergency service employees from jurisdictions across Australia and New Zealand will join forces for a multi-agency drill-style disaster management exercise today. The exercise will test the ACT's recently revised Major Structural Collapse Sub-plan.
The community should not be alarmed by the exercise, which will involve an increase in emergency service vehicles at the Canberra Airport, around Northbourne Avenue and Girrahween Street, around the Hume area and the Fairbairn business park.
