ACT Fire & Rescue has helped free a male plumber from a hole at an industrial site near Howie Court, Belconnen.
The plumber's feet became stuck in mud while he was working on a leaking water main.
Firefighters used hand tools to free the plumber's feet, he was then able to climb out of the hole unassisted.
Paramedics assessed the plumber on scene. He did not require any medical treatment.
WorkSafe ACT attended the site and are making further enquiries into the matter.
