[media-alert type="image" id=30196]ACT Rural Fire Service (ACTRFS) has deployed seven firefighters to assist the Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) with major bushfires across the state.
As part of a the NSW Rural Fire Service (NSWRFS) contingent ACTRFS firefighters and an Emergency Services Agency (ESA) mapping volunteer will continue operations until Friday 25 January before returning home on Saturday 26 January.
The ESA will continue to support TFS further into next week with a second deployment of crews if requested.
Both deployments will not impact on the level of fire protection to Canberra and the surrounding regions.
