In a life threatening emergency dial Triple Zero (000)
The ACT Emergency Services Agency would like to reassure the community that the smoke haze and smell of smoke in the ACT today and likely for a number of days is coming from prescribed hazard burns in New South Wales.
There is no threat to the ACT from these fires. There is also currently no bushfire threat in the ACT.
Please only call Emergency Triple Zero (000) if you see an unattended fire, not just because you can see or smell smoke.
Information and health advice for dealing with outdoor smoke can be found by visiting the ACT Health website.
