[media-alert type="image" id=30627]#CBR the 2018/19 bushfire season has officially ended.
The community can remain assured that the coordinated and collective approach from all ESA personnel and volunteers across ACT Rural Fire Service, ACT State Emergency Service, ACT Fire & Rescue and ACT Ambulance Service, alongside ACT Parks and Conservation Service and other ACT Government directorates maintained community safety during this extended bushfire season.
From today, fire permits will no longer be required for rural land holders wishing to conduct burns. Land holders are still asked to notify authorities if they plan to conduct burns. Penalties apply if fires are left unattended or escape containment.
