A significant truck fire involving full engulfment of a semi trailer has occurred in Hume.
Shortly before 9pm Emergency Services were advised of a B-Double truck on fire at the corner of Monaro Highway and Sheppard Street in Hume.
Emergency Services responded with ACT Fire & Rescue assigning three firefighting pumpers, 2 Commanders and a CAFS Unit. ACT Ambulance Service and ACT Policing have also assigned resources.
The Monaro Highway is currently closed, Southbound, however ACT Policing have diversions in place.
No persons have been injured however extensive vehicle damage has occurred to the B-Double tuck and recovery of the vehicle may take some time.
