20 new recruits have started their journey to become Canberra’s newest firefighters. Monday, 26 July marked the very first day for ACT Fire & Rescue Recruit College 45.

Over the next 20 weeks, they’ll undergo intensive training comprised of both theoretical and practical components before their final assessments and graduation in December 2021.

College 45 is the second cohort assisted by the ACT Government’s commitment to fund 99 additional firefighters over the next five years. Good luck team!
