18 volunteers have been officially recognised at the ACT State Emergency Service Chief Officer Awards which acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of the Service and its members. A special congratulations to the ESA Chaplaincy Team and Gungahlin College who were also recognised for their ongoing support.
Mark Rattigan was the recipient of the highest individual honour, the Tony Graham Leadership Award, for his ongoing dedication and commitment to the Service. Over the last 12 months, Mark successfully led a team to a third-place finish at the National Disaster Rescue Challenge in Perth and demonstrated his leadership capabilities when he led an interstate deployment to NSW as part of the flood response.
