In a life threatening emergency dial Triple Zero (000)
Storm and Flood Assistance
ACT Rural Fire Service (ACTRFS) firefighters are today undertaking a hazard reduction burn on a private property off Point Hut Road, Paddys River.
The burn will start at approximately 2pm today and should be completed by 4pm, weather permitting. The aim of this burn is to reduce the large amount of African love grass, in a bid to lower the risk of grass fires. It will also assist the landholder with weed management on the property.
Please only call Emergency Triple Zero (000) if you see an unattended fire, not just because you see or smell smoke.
Every effort is made to conduct the burn in weather conditions that will minimise the impact of smoke in the area.
