Crews from ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES), ACT Fire & Rescue (ACTF&R) and Transport Canberra and City Services (TCCS) have been working hard to assist the community with over 245 requests for help since the rains started on Tuesday evening.
Calls for assistance have come from all areas of Canberra. While this rain is welcome, there have been a number of trees weakened by the steady rainfall.
The ACT SES encourages the community to be aware of the possibility of falling branches and unstable trees.
We ask Canberrans to remain patient as crews work to clear a high number of calls for help.
Residents who require assistance for storm or flood damage, or if your situation changes can call 132 500.
Please call Triple Zero (000) in a life-threatening emergency.
