House fire - Isabella Plains

Firefighters have extinguished a fire which extended through the roof of a home on Babinda Place, Isabella Plains. 

Damage to the ceiling is extensive; however, thanks to a quick response from ACT Fire & Rescue, most of the home was saved.

One male occupant safely evacuated before calling Triple Zero (000). No injuries were reported.

ACT Fire & Rescue will remain on scene for some time to conduct fire investigations and clean-up operations.

Babinda Place will be closed for a short time.  Traffic may be impacted on Ellerston Avenue.

ACT Fire & Rescue is working to extinguish a house fire on Babinda Place, Isabella Plains. 

Public access to Babinda Place and Ellerston Avenue is restricted while emergency services respond to the fire. 

ACT Ambulance Service and ACT Policing is also on scene.
