Published: 3:57 PM: The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall.
If it is safe to do so, the ACT State Emergency Service advises the community to:
- Move your car under cover and away from trees;
- Secure or put away loose items;
- Keep at least 8 metres away from fallen power lines;
- Stay indoors away from windows;
- Never drive, walk or ride through floodwater.
