Storm and Flood Assistance
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the ACT for heavy rainfall with slow moving thunderstorms.
Parts of Canberra are already experiencing rain, and this is likely to continue for several hours.

If it is safe to do so, the ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) advises the community to:
- Move your car under cover or away from trees
- Secure or put away loose items that are outside
It’s important to never drive, ride or walk through floodwater. If you need support during storms and floods call the ACTSES on 13 25 00. In a life-threatening emergency call Triple Zero (000).
