ACT Emergency Controller Georgeina Whelan has extended the Total Fire Ban for the whole of the ACT through Saturday 1 February 2020 until midnight Sunday 2 February 2020.
The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting extremely hot and dry conditions over the weekend.
The forecast Fire Danger Rating (FDR) for tomorrow is predicted to be SEVERE. The FDR for Sunday is predicted to be HIGH. Fire moves quickly and is difficult to control in these conditions.
All ACT residents are urged to review their Bushfire Survival Plan or if you don't have a plan in place, to take the time to create one.
