UPDATE: Apartment Fire - HOWIE COURT BELCONNEN

ACT Fire & Rescue (ACTF&R), ACT Ambulance Service (ACTAS) and ACT Policing attended an apartment fire at a four-story complex In Howie Court, Belconnen.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

ACTF&R HAZMAT team were also on scene to assist with firefighting efforts and declare the area safe.

Two people were treated on scene for smoke inhalation and were transported to hospital in a stable condition for further assessment.

Emergency Services have now departed the scene.

ACT Fire & Rescue (ACTF&R) and ACT Police are in attendance at a top floor apartment fire in Howie Court, Belconnen. 

Firefighting operations are underway.

Access to Howie Court will be restricted while the area is made safe.

The Community are advised to avoid the area.
