UPDATE: Structure Fire Kingston

UPDATE 2:15pm - The fire is now extinguished, crews remain on scene and road closures remain in place and will so for the next few hours.

There is a structure fire on Eyre Street in Kingston. 

Significant smoke is present in the area. If affected close doors and windows and remain indoors. 

Individuals with respiratory conditions should take additional care. 

ACT Fire & Rescue, the ACT Ambulance Service and ACT Policing are in attendance. 

A small part of Eyre street is currently closed while emergency operations are underway. 

The community is asked to avoid the area.
