ACT Ambulance Service intensive care paramedics have treated a 60-year-old male at the Mount Taylor Nature Reserve for suspected spinal injuries after a paragliding accident.
The male patient has been taken to The Canberra Hospital in a serious condition. Time of Emergency Triple Zero (000) call 3.30pm.
Intensive care paramedics have also used a specialist 4-W-D ambulance vehicle to access an injured bushwalker in the Orroral Valley, Namadgi National Park.
A rescue helicopter was used to fly the elderly female to the Canberra Hospital and treated for a minor hip injury.
Paramedics and ACT Policing are assisting the remaining bushwalking party in returning to their vehicle. The three adults and one child are uninjured.
