An overheated battery has led to a visit by firefighters to the Apple store in the Canberra Centre this morning.
ACT Fire & Rescue is on scene at the retail outlet on the top level of the building after a small amount of smoke was generated by battery.
Store staff place the battery in a sealed container until firefighters arrived and removed it from the shop and centre.
Fire crews are now ventilating the store to remove any remaining smoke.
No evacuations were necessary and the Canberra Centre continues to trade as normal.
