Update - Kitchen fire at Higgins

The fire has been extinguished and crews are mopping up.

Fire crews have searched the roof space to ensure no fire has spread.

Damage to the kitchen and one other room only.

A neighbour raised the alarm by calling Emergency Triple Zero (000) at 2.05pm.

ACT Ambulance Service intensive care paramedics are assessing one patient.
