Update - House fire in Turner

Quick work by firefighters has prevented the fire from spreading throughout the house on Holder Street.

The fire was located in a bedroom of the property and has been extinguished.

Fire crews are now checking to ensure the fire didn't spread into the the roof space.

Neighbours told firefighters there is no one currently living in the home.
