Lyneham gas pipeline incident

Sixty three residents at a nursing home on Archibald Street, Lyneham had to be evacuated this morning after a gas main was damaged by workers.

ACT Fire & Rescue were called to the scene around 9.10am.

Only one wing of the nursing home was affected and workers are repairing the pipeline.

ACT Fire & Rescue crews are monitoring the situation.

Residents have since been allowed back inside.
