A family of four and their dog escaped uninjured after a fire broke out at their home.
They self-evacuated as ACT Fire & Rescue responded to the incident on Coranderrk Street in Reid.
The cause was an electrical fault in the roof space. The fire has been extinguished.
Crews are checking for fire extension throughout the rest of the house and conducting atmospheric monitoring.
Three pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus Van and a commander are on scene.
The Emergency Triple (000) call was received just before 5pm.
A damage bill is yet to be estimated.
