Fire at Dunlop quickly extinguished

Quick work by firefighters this morning has prevented the spread of a fire at Dunlop.

ACT Fire & Rescue were alerted to the incident in Excalibur Street at 4:15am.

Fire crews arrived shortly after to find the garage of a home well alight.

They quickly contained the fire to the garage then extinguished it.

Firefighters are now ventilating smoke from the property before investigating the cause.
