ACT Fire & Rescue have responded to the presence of smoke in a unit block carpark caused by a mechanical malfunction in a car filled with excess oil, not a fire as previously reported.
Firefighters evacuated nine people from the unit block as a precaution.
All occupants have now re-entered the premises after crews ventilated the area.
