The ACT Rural Fire Service and ACT Fire & Rescue are working to extinguish a grass fire burning along Warks Road near Brindabella Road.
The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at ADVICE.
There are twenty units, two dozers and two water bombing aircraft on scene. The helicopters will return to ESA Helibase at Hume within the next 30 minutes.
The fire is approximately 17 hectares in size and is within containment lines. Firefighters are conducting back burning operations to strengthen containment lines.
ACT Fire & Rescue crews will shortly leave the incident. ACT Rural Fire Service units will work overnight, with a shift change over scheduled for 6am.
The Fire Danger Rating where this fire is burning is LOW-MODERATE.
Fires burning in LOW-MODERATE conditions can be easily controlled.
There is little to no risk to life and property in the urban or rural areas of the ACT.
