Update five - Church fire in Kambah

The fire at the Tuggeranong Baptist Church has been extinguish following a sustained water attack from the Bronto aerial appliance above the building.

Firefighters are undeetaking final mopping up and checking for hot spots.

The building has been destroyed and a structural engineer has now been called to the site for a more detailed assessment.

The cause of the fire will be investigated but it is being treated as suspicious.
