City office building evacuated

Around 400 people have been evacuated in Civic following a small electrical fire.

ACT Fire & Rescue was alerted to reports of smoke inside Customs House on Nangari Street just before 12:30pm.

Fire crews arrived to find a small fire inside a printing room on level three, which they quickly extinguished.

Firefighters are now ventilating smoke from the building and conducting atmospheric monitoring before allowing people back into the building.
