ACT Rural Fire Service are continuing operations at the bush fire burning at Square Rock, Corin.
The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire remains at ADVICE.
Firefighters worked throughout the night, continuing to form a containment line around the fire. Overnight crews were this morning replaced by 25 firefighters who will continue work to complete containment line activities and active fire suppression. Due to the terrain firefighters are on foot walking approximately 2km to the fire front and mostly using hand tools.
There is still active fire present.
Four helicopters will commence aerial support when low lying cloud clears and will then continue water bombing throughout the day.
The fire is located east of Corin Dam.
Corin Road, West of Woods Reserve, has been reopened.
Woods Reserve camping area remains open and ACT Parks and Conservation Service rangers will continue to provide information to campers throughout the day.
The fire is approximately 13 hectares in size and is being controlled.
