55 requests for help have been received by the ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) since 10:30am this morning. Calls have come from across the ACT with a majority in the northern suburbs.
Volunteer crews from ACTSES as well as crews from ACT Fire & Rescue (ACTF&R) have been responding to leaking roofs, blocked downpipes and drains.
Repairs made by ACT Emergency Services are temporary and residents are urged to organise more permanent repairs as soon as possible.
Crews continue to assist with requests for help while ensuring all precautions are taken to protect themselves and the community.
The rain is predicted to continue tomorrow and into the early part of the weekend.
