In a life threatening emergency dial Triple Zero (000)
Storm and Flood Assistance
ACT Ambulance Service, ACT Fire & Rescue, ACT Policing and ACT Parks & Conservation Service worked together this afternoon to support a 37 year old female who was injured during a hike at Gibraltar Falls.
The rescue operation involved stabilising the patient, then transporting her safely across 400 metres of arduous terrain, that included a creek and slippery rocks.
Each of the emergency services brought their specialties to the situation to provide a positive outcome for the patient, who was transported to hospital in a stable condition. Egg–cellent team work everyone!
We’d prefer you all to have a Happy Easter rather than a Hoppy one Canberra, so please enjoy the rest of your long weekend safely.
