ACT Fire & Rescue (ACTF&R) have completed ventilation at the hotel on Northbourne Avenue.
ACTF&R have handed the building over to management, and staff are able to re-enter.

ACT Fire & Rescue (ACTF&R) have completed ventilation at the hotel on Northbourne Avenue.

ACT Fire & Rescue (ACTF&R) have responded to an automatic fire alarm at a hotel on Northbourne Avenue.
On arrival they located a fire in the kitchen which has now been extinguished.
ACTF&R responded with two pumpers, a breathing apparatus vehicle, bronto aerial unit and a commander.
Firefighters have safely evacuated staff from the restaurant and residents have been asked to safely shelter in their rooms.
No injuries have been sustained and firefighters will remain on scene to conduct further ventilation.
Mort Street is blocked between Elouera Street and Cooyong Street.
The community is asked to avoid the area.
