Structure Fire - Holt

Firefighters have extinguished a structure fire on Hardwick Crescent in Holt. There is no ongoing threat to the community.
 
At approximately 8:19 AM this morning, ACT Fire & Rescue was notified of a structure fire at the Ochre Medical Centre. The fire extended into the roof space of the building causing significant damage.
 
There have been no injuries reported from this incident.
 
Seven ACTF&R crews including three pumpers, two aerial appliances, breathing apparatus support and HAZMAT responded to the fire along with the ACT Ambulance Service and ACT Policing.
 
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.

Emergency services are in attendance at a structure fire on Hardwick Crescent in Holt.

Fire is affecting the Ochre Medical Centre at Kippax Shops.

Smoke is present in the area. Individuals with respiratory conditions are advised to remain indoors and close windows.

Southern Cross Drive is closed in both directions between Starke Street and Florey Drive.

The community is asked to monitor conditions and avoid the area.
