Update - Car Fire - Hindmarsh Drive, Garran

ACT Fire & Rescue crews (ACTF&R) have extinguished the car fire on Hindmarsh Drive, located near Tyagarah Street, Garran.

There was extensive damage to the vehicle, but no reports of injuries.

ACTF&R vehicles have departed the scene however, ACT Policing crews will remain on scene for some time to help monitor and manage traffic movement in the area.

ACT Fire & Rescue (ACTF&R) crews are in attendance of a car fire on Hindmarsh Drive heading towards Tyagarah Street, Garran.

Firefighters are working quickly to extinguish the blaze.

There are heavy traffic delays westbound as a result of the incident and the community is advised to avoid the area where possible.
